This is a Merritt Maestro Fountain Pen Handcrafted by Richard Lee Merritt from an amazing piece of Golden Box Elder Burl. This fine writing instrument is dressed in Rhodium plated (Platinum Family) appointments and accented with a beautiful 22k gold inset on the end of the cap and a 22k gold ring on the accent band.
In the tradition of fine desk pens, the Merritt Maestro Fountain Pen is not designed for use with the cap attached to the pen. This ensures that you will enjoy effortless writing and the perfect balance of the Merritt Maestro every time you use it.
The cap screws on and off with only one and a half turns and is silky smooth.
A special clear satin finish is applied by hand to add superior beauty and durability, the burl wood is also specially hand stabilized with a special technique to ensure the highest quality writing instrument possible. This fine Merritt Fountain Pen features a top quality 22k gold and rhodium plated German-made two-tone nib with genuine iridium point for smooth writing and dependable ink flow. It will accept standard ink cartridges as well as converters. Includes a premium Schmidt ink converter reservoir and a disposable cartridge.
Pen measures 11/16” wide x 5 3/4” long. The photos do not do justice to the beauty and balance of this fine writing instrument.
Included is a handsome brown leather case and a certificate of authenticity card signed by RLM.
